How to navigate this site:

The site is broken down into major category areas listed on the left of each page and listed below under Table of Contents.  The first indent are pages linked to the one above, second indent linked to the first, etc and to the right of each page is an explanation of the page.  The information is cross referenced on the site, i.e. if you look onto the policy page under child custody you may find links to both shared parenting legislation and opinion pieces related to that topic.

The duties of maintaining the page are daunting, to say the least, especially as we produce more materials over time.  Please bear with us as we do an update of this site (April 2006) and I hope to make the format friendlier.  I will be pulling much of the material together and listing it in time format (newest to oldest) and also converting all of the documents into adobe.pdf files for easy downloading and use.  Thanks, Jim Hays, Dadlobby@FaFNY.org

Many people have limited funds due to the high costs associated with divorce/separation in NY.  To help facilitate those who are hooking up to the web with slow computers or internet access we are limiting graphics to those that we feel are necessary.  What is lacking here are the slick designs and flashing and bouncing graphics designed to lure you to a site.  What you will find is a wealth of information relative to your situation right here in New York.  Additionally, you are now hooked up to the only organization which is lobbying New York State Government at the state level for change beneficial to fathers, families and children.  You will note that the "web master" is the president of the association.  This is so we can provide the most recent information available at the lowest cost in a timely manner.  Unlike other "help" organizations which demand an up front "dues" payment to receive helpful information, FaFNY is providing this free of charge to any and all who ask.   What we do ask is that each person who recognizes that the current system is broken and needs fixing join FaFNY right now.  Until families and people; fathers, mothers, children, grand parents, aunts, uncles and cousins, begin to speak out and demand change from our elected (including judicial) representatives we are doomed to being torn apart one family at a time.  By joining FaFNY you unite your voice with the other 2.5 million non custodial parents in New York State and their families who are represented by FaFNY.

FaFNY.org, like all of our services, is provided through the efforts of volunteers.  Funding for this site, and all of our services is provided by our members.  If you would like to see something added to this site please send your comments to Jim Hays at DadLobby@FaFNY.org.  We are always looking for volunteers to perform the tasks of helping others.  If you have a particular skill, or even some free time to help another individual, let us know.  If you don't have time to volunteer, your tax deductible donations are appreciated.
