"You can put as much lipstick on a pig as you want, but at the end of the day ... it's still just a pig."
The Pretty Pig Award for 2005 goes to...
Chief Judge Judith Kaye!
For her one sided and biased views of family issues and ignoring the "non custodial" parents who appeared before the matrimonial commission in support of "shared parenting" and who were ignored by her and her biased Judge's while before them and then ignored while before them at the Matrimonial Commission.
What do Pigs and the Chief Judge Kaye have in common? Nothing, pigs are intelligent and unbiased.
For years the leaders of FaFNY have been asking for a meeting with Chief Judge Kaye. Of course, the answer is a big fat "NO". Throughout 2005 Chief Judge Kaye had her judges hold "Matrimonial Commission Hearings" but she remained invisible to Non Custodial Parents. The 1986 Court Study of Bias Against Women found, BIAS AGAINST MEN and with recommendations in hand in 1986 the courts did NOTHING. Soooo, 20 years later the Chief Judge decides to do it again. And what profound things do the Chief Judge find needs fixing? Well of course the problem is no fault divorce and of course ALL THE JUDGES NEED BIG FAT RAISES! This in a year where Judge Garson and several other judges were found guilty of crimes (Judge Garson pled to accepting bribes to fix cases in matrimonial matters!). No need to strengthen the Judicial (Do Nothing) Conduct Commission, no need to talk of court reform or restructure to the most biased, broken, confusing, and some would say crooked court system in the nation. No, JUST PUT SOME LIPSTICK ON THAT PIG, TELL THE STATE'S TAXPAYERS IT'S HUNGRY AND YOU NEED TO FEED IT MORE MONEY!
So to the Chief Judge Kaye goes the "Pretty Pig Award".
Of course we invited Chief Judge Kaye to come to LEAD in 2006 (and every other year) but she has "another appointment" and "can't" make it. So, just an "opinion" here, we also recommend that father and family supporters everywhere let the Chief Judge what they think of her ducking the issues for Children, Non Custodial Parent, Fathers and Families. Call Chief Judge Kaye’s office at (212) 661-6787 to ask the Chief Judge what appointment on May 9, 2006 is more important than New York's Children and the parents who want to be there for them? She called and stated she would NOT be sending a representative!
