ORGANIZATIONAL FLOW CHART

FaFNY is an educational and advocacy member association.  We are not a provider of individual services other than distribution of educational materials and individual advocacy on behalf of members.  Our purpose is to preserve and protect the natural, legal and funda­mental rights of fathers. 

 

PRESIDENT-CEO of the Assoc.; Chair Public Relations Committee; Sits as a member on all committee’s.

VP-CEO in Presidents absence; Chair of the Legislative Committee.

TREASURER-Chief Fiscal Officer; Chair of the Finance Committee

SECRETARY-Recording Officer of the Association.  Keeper of Official Records.

www.ACFC.org Sets National Policy and Initiatives.

ADVISORY BOARD – is appointed by the FaFNY from the public and advises the FaFNY President and Board on family policy issues.

Board of Directors- made up of one board member from each county with at least three active members.  Board member from a county is the default county coordinator unless otherwise appointed.

MEMBERSHIP-is open to all interested individuals contingent on payment of dues and approval by the board of directors. 

County Coordinator Committee- Chaired by one coordinator as elected by all the county coordinators.  Committee coordinates activities of all coordinators and works to maximize efficiency.  Development of materials for use by the county coordinators in concert with the public relations committee.

Nominating Committee-Secures participant names and runs elections.  Past or current President Chairs.

Executive Committee- consists of Pres., VP, Treas. And Secretary and  sits in place of the Board of Directors between meetings .

County Coordinators-advocates to work for fathers and families at the county level including distributing information in family court and lobbying activities of representatives in the county.  Promote membership in the Association and develop activists will to advocate on behalf of fathers and families.

Non Members- Online Assistance available here.  Assistance to non members is provided on a case by case basis consistent with the mission of the association and available resources.

The Constitution of the Association is the controlling operating document of this organization which includes By-Laws and operational Rules and is available to any member upon request. 

The Board holds at least three meetings each year.  There is one Membership meeting that is held between April and October of each year.

All Officer Positions and Positions on the Board of Directors are by election of the Board of Directors pursuant to the Constitution of the Association. 

Membership is open to all persons pending acceptance of their application by the Board of Directors. 

Each County may sit a board officer as such; 1 for 3 members, 2 for 25 members, 3 for 60 members and 4 for 100 members. (only one is a County Coordinator)

ACFC is the Parent Organization and advises the Board of Directors primarily through direct conversations, meetings and correspondence with the President of FaFNY.  The Advisory Board advises the Board of Directors through interaction with the Executive Board and Directors.

The President of the Association may sit an Ad Hoc Committee and appoint a Chair on an as needed basis to complete the mission of the Association.

Standing Committee Chairs are by default but may be changed by a vote of the Board of Directors.  Assignments are being filled on an as needed basis.

Ad Hoc Committee’s may be formed by the President of the Association by appointment to perform specific duties as outlined and sit for one calendar year only. 

County Coordinators and Board of Director members are elected by the Board as membership levels increase pursuant to the constitution.
